Northeast Iowa Family STEM Festival
The Northeast Iowa Family STEM Festival will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 4PM to 7PM at the Pavilion on the Allamakee County Fairgrounds in Waukon.
Who is Invited to Exhibit!
Businesses with a STEM focus, institutions of higher education, community non-profit groups, government organizations, and other organizations providing STEM education are invited to exhibit.
Primary Age Group
While STEM activities should be designed for kids in grades PreK-8, all ages will enjoy the hands-on exhibits.
What we Looking for
There are endless possibilities of what the students and families could do at your booth- including;
- fun and free hands-on activities
- conducting an experiment
- playing a game
- participating in an interactive demonstration
This will be a high profile, community and outreach opportunity for your organization.Your festival activity will provide an excellent opportunity to educate the public about the wonders of STEM and to showcase your organization. However, it is important that visitors are safe.
The festival planning committee reserves the right to exclude any activity that it deems unsuitable or unsafe.

The festival was FREE and open to the public. The goals of the STEM Festival are to promote, inspire, and engage youth in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematic activities and to introduce students and parents to STEM careers in the community.
Organized like a street festival or county fair, visitors strolled from activity to activity at their leisure. All ages were welcome to attend. Exhibits featured interactive STEM activities for students and their families.
