STEM Teacher Award
The IOWA STEM Teacher Award, sponsored by Kemin Industries, is dedicated to honoring one teacher from each of the six STEM regions for their contribution and dedication to STEM in Iowa. Each winner will receive a $1,500 award with an additional $1,500 to be used in their classroom.

The Northeast Iowa STEM Region is proud to announce Theressa Northouse, Technology Coach at Marshall Elementary School in Dubuque, Iowa, has been named as a recipient of the 2024 Iowa STEM Teacher Award, sponsored by Kemin Industries. The award is given to six educators each year who go above and beyond to inspire student interest in and awareness of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Computer Science Week
Discovering Careers in Computer Science Webinar
The Northeast Iowa STEM Hub celebrated Computer Science Week with a webinar entitled; "Discovering Careers in Computer Science." The primary audience includes; high school and middle school students as well as teachers and counselors.
During the webinar, participants learned about different career paths in computer science. Panelists discussed their experience as a professional in computer science.
