Cedar Valley Family STEM Festival

SAVE the DATE for our next Cedar Valley Family STEM Festival to be held on

Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the UNI-Dome.

The goals of the festival are to promote, inspire and engage youth in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities and to introduce children and parents to STEM careers. Organizations will present exhibits and hands-on activities for kids pre-K through 12 and their families.

Organized like a street festival or county fair, visitors stroll from activity to activity at their leisure. All ages are welcome to attend. Exhibits will feature interactive STEM activities for students and their families. Attendees may conduct amazing science experiments, observe a variety of fascinating animals, perform surgery with a Laparoscopic Surgical Trainer, measure electricity usage of common electronic devices, and much more!

The Cedar Valley Family STEM Festival is a community-wide partnership led by the Northeast Region of the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council at the University of Northern Iowa, Waterloo Community Schools, Cedar Falls Community School District, Cedar Valley Catholic Schools, Central Rivers AEA, Black Hawk County Extension and Outreach, Grout Museum District, Hawkeye Community College, John Deere, Society of Women Engineers - Cedar Valley Section, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, University of Northern Iowa and Volunteer Center of the Cedar Valley.
